経蔵（増上寺）

　増上寺は明徳4年（1393）酉誉聖聡により武蔵野国豊島郡貝塚（現千代田区）に浄土宗の正統念仏伝法道場として創建され、慶長3年（1598）現在地に移転しました。慶長10年（1605）から増上寺は幕府により浄土宗教義に基づく本堂・三門・経蔵・表門。方丈・学寮・諸堂などを配置した大伽藍が造営され、やがて徳川将軍家の菩提寺、浄土宗の関東十八壇林の筆頭に就き、浄土宗宗教を総括する総録所となりました。
　経蔵は慶長10年（1605）に創建され、天和元年（1681）12月に改造移築し、さらに享和2年（1802）6月現地に移しました。構造は土蔵造、白壁仕上げ、一重、屋根宝形瓦葺き、四方に銅板裳階付き、建坪42.24坪（139.66㎡）、軒下高さ21尺（6.36ｍ）。経蔵内部には、中央に軸を立て八面の経巻棚を設け、これに経巻を納め、事由に回転できる八角形の木造輪蔵を安置しています。これには徳川家康が寄進した宋版、元版、高麗版の大蔵経（重要文化財）が格納されています（現在は別に保管されています）。

　　　　　　　      Zokp-ji Kyozo
Zojo-ji was founded by YuyoSousyo in 1393 as Jodo-sect orthodox dojo for Buddhist invocations of Jodo-sect in Musashinokuni Toshimagun Kaizuka(Vhiyoda-ku).Since 1598,it was relacated to its current place.In1605,based on the Jodo doctrine,it was extended by the Edo government to a Dai-garan(temple complex)consisting of main building,Sanmon(enlightenment gate),Kyouo,Omotemon(main gate),HOujou(residence),dormitories and other small buildings.Once Zojo-ji became the family remple of TokugaswaShogun and the mosr important among 18 Jodo-sect study-temples in Kanto area,religious and political decisions of Jodo-sect were made there,KYouzo was constructed in 1605,relacated and remodelled in Desember 1681 and finally mobed to its current place in June 1802.Kyouzo contains wooden octahedralsutra storagetural  shelves that smoothly revolve around the central pillar.Sou,Gen and Kourai editions of Daizoukyo (Sutra in China),which were donated by Ieyasy Tokugawa,were kept in those shelves (They are Important cultural properties,and are currently kept in a different place).
